Some homeowners may be walking on one of these beatifully preserved hardwood floor without their knowlege.

Wood is a very durable flooring medium, many of the old houses in Ann Arbor are an excellent testiment to this. Unlike stone, tile, linoleum and carpet, wood can be sanded and all but the most hanus of abuses can be erased from it's surface. It will often survive the other flooring surfaces in a home because of this ability.

Hardwood is a easily maintained hypoallergenic flooring surface. Allergens can easily be swept or mopped away to keep your floor free from an excess of irritants. This is great for those among us that are sensitive to dust and dander. Dirt and spills that would quickly destroy carpeting are easily cleaned up with a damp paper towel. With just a simple dust mop, wet mop, and a bucket of soapy water a wood floor can provide years of beauty.

It is impossible to talk about hardwood floors without touching on the warmth and beauty that they can add to a room. With their color variations and wildly varieng grain patterns they add unmatched character and beauty to any space.
